Personality
When properly bred, Cockapoos are excellent family dogs, very good with kids, friendly, playful, and social. On a range of 1-10, 10 being the most active (like a Jack Russell Terrier!), they will generally fall in the range of 4-6. Health and soundness are all very important to me. Some Cocker Spaniels have temperament problems we have been very care full in selecting our Cockers. Our Cocker girls come from healthy parents who have proven them selves to be worthy. Our parents have no ear, eye or temperament issues. I do health testing for Eye Cerf. and Patellas. It is for this reason I believe we are producing the Best in temperaments, beautiful coat, sound structure and health.
Size and Colors
Sizes vary, between 8 to 25 lbs. Our average puppy is 15 lbs grown.
Cocker girls weigh between 14 to 19 lbs Toy poodle dads are 5 to 8 lbs.
Most all of the Cockapoos are non-shedding, those that do shed, shed only a small amount daily. Coat types can usually be determined between 4-5 weeks of age.
Hybrid Breeding. You will find many different looks to the Cockapoo. This is due to the difference in how the puppy is bred. Such as a Cocker mom bred to a Toy Poodle will produce puppies that look more like a Cocker. And Toy Poodle mom to a Cocker will look more like the Toy Poodle and have taller legs. Then there is multi generation breeding. Cockapoo to Cockapoo. Or even the Cockapoo bred back to a poodle or Cocker. One look, one breeding type over the next, is more correct. All looks are acceptable. All generations of breeding will produce a nice Cockapoo for you to love. The most importanthing is to make sure the parents have been Eye Cerf'd an OFA patella Certified prior to breeding. Pick the look you like and love it for a life time.
COLOR-They come in LUSHES COLORS! Exotic Merles, Chocolate, Chocolate Truffle, Chocolate/Tan, Blue, Reds, Shaded Red, Buff, Golden, White, Silver, Black, Tri, Black/Tan Sable, Sable/Tan and Parti. They can be marked with white or patterned. Any color is correct.
EYE COLOR--Dark brown, black, yellow, blue, green or a mix is correct.
If you find a chocolate with baby blue eyes...Better buy it. They are few and far between...And oh so beautiful!
TAILS--Some breeders leave the tail and some breeders dock. Both are correct. DEW CLAWS--As the times change, more breeders and clients are choosing t leave the dew claws. Many say that they use them like we use thumbs. Here again it is a matter of choice. Either way is correct.
PRICES. BABIES-- are priced from $550 to $1000. Pending size, eye color. coat color and type of coat.
